Supervised by Nicole Ponce, LPC-S
I love working with adults and adolescents who are struggling with anxiety, depression, and harmful patterns. I believe that with the right skills and therapeutic environment, people can change their patterns into a more productive and healthy future.
I have extensive experience in the complexity of teenage years, specifically counseling at-risk youth and young adults who are struggling making friends, having difficulties in school, transitional stages, and/or heading down the wrong path. I believe this is a building block towards adulthood, and every experience during this time allows room for personal growth.
My own personal experiences showed me the importance of therapy, learning to work with and accept the anxieties and difficulties in life, and changing harmful coping methods into productive skills that can begin to benefit oneself and their future. I hope to help clients discover this in their own way through providing a safe space for processing and learning.
I use a multidisciplinary approach focusing on the body, mind, and soul. I believe that the client is the expert in their life and, while I can help guide, only they know what’s best for them. I use a wide variety of therapeutic techniques, including existential theraoy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and dialectical behavior therapy, to develop a comprehensive treatment plan that addresses the main issues in client’s lives.
